The breakfast was good but not worth the 10.00 that the sign said was being charged. I had free breakfast included in reservation but sure wouldn't have paid for it. Otherwise the room was ok and beds were comfortable.

Great views of Downton.. beautiful suite..great staff...
Amarillo was a great place to visit. Everything was easily accessible off the interstate highways I-40 and I-27. There were plenty of good Mexican restaurants like Jorge's, The Plaza, Abuelo's, El Bracero, Joe Taco and Tacos Garcia. Not to mention the steakhouses such as Texas Roadhouse, Hoffbrau, Saltgrass, Outback, Longhorn and The Big Texan. The kids will enjoy Wonderland Park, and the Amarillo Zoo. The Amarillo Botanical Gardens, Cadilac Ranch, Don Harrington Discovery Center, and the majestic Palo Duro Canyon are all fun places to visit for the entire family.

"cars from the sky" right down the street, from where I lodged. ( bring your spray paint ) also a variety of eating spots right off the 40.. we did the Big Lin Chinese Buffet..( fantastic )
I may book an extended stay in the future to further explore the very friendly town of Amarillo , as it is easy to get around ( drug stores, Wally World, restaurants etc.) not to busy ( l haven't heard any sirens yet ) and the people of North Texas know how to welcome you.

I visited a few areas of Texas on this vacation, with a lot of driving. Amarillo was a strategic stop, although if I would of had more time to spare, I likely would have stayed there longer. I started out in San Antonio and drove up north, spending time in two state parks and a third nature place. So, that part of the trip ended in Amarillo. I visited a few places in the City as well - Cadillac Ranch, Bills Classic Cars and Route 66 stores.

The historic Route 66 district was very charming.
The historic Route 66 district was very charming. We found a antique shop and a bunch of interesting things. The Big Texan ranch offers their famous steaks and good brewery. There are a couple breweries in the town worth your visit if you are interested. While in Amarillo, Palo Duro Canyon State Park is a must to see.

The attractions around the city make Amarillo a good destination. Palo Duro Canyon and Cap Rock Canyon are spectacular and worth seeing. Because of the old route 66 going through Amarillo, there are some interesting and fun (and somewhat cheesy at times) places to see.

This is a relatively new build hotel and is fresh and clean. Good sized room that was also comfortable. Reasonable breakfast choices available and food was of good quality and freshness.
The hotel location is convenient to access to / from the freeway and is only a 10 minute drive from the historic old town Highway 66 strip which we visited to enjoy the old style feel and some great food.
Extremely friendly desk clerk. Rooms very spacious and plenty of parking space. Everything was good value. Bed was just a tidbit hard and the coffee maker leaked, but the former is a matter of preferences and the latter probably just a mishap. I was very content with the hotel.
